Why women have so many types and varioations in their attire ?
Right from shoes , to frocks , Jeans , T shirts and various other dresses , one gets thousands of varieties for women’s dresses. ( This is applicable to panties and bras also ). As against Mens shoes are almost same , they have same type of trousers , shirts and suits. Why it is so ? Are women by design supposed to wear more attractive clothes to catch attention of men ?
Not only attire but women have thousands of hairstyles and make up possibalities. Men have much less hairstyles and virtually no make up.
Women and men are innately different. By nature, their mental processes are different. The general census of women (keep in mind this is an average, not necessarily applicable to all women) are more extroverted and sensing, one who focuses on sensory details and the here-and-now.
They’re more likely to be attracted to things that appeal to the emotions or senses. We live in a pretty sense-stimulating world. Men tend to ignore them, while women tend to spend more time on them.
Now, this is an explanation based completely on undeveloped traits.
There is more of a crossover now that both genders are encouraged to try on different roles.
I assume from the way you worded your question that you were looking for an answer based around social influence. Social pressure is a factor to the history of men suppressing their urges to play dress up, and encouragement of women to compete with clothing. A lot of people have learned to exploit our basic desire to look nice, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. I don’t find fashion advancement very….necessary, personally.
Anywho, the basic point is: all people like things that look nice, both men and women. Nowadays, there are a rising number of homo/metro sexual men who are equally as obsessed with clothing as women.
yes they are and they are supposed to be fashionable I guess
women are more attractive.. they have more versatile and aesthetic bodies, so they have more variation in how they decorate those bodies.
also, it is part of the cultural norm and societies gender standard for it to be acceptable for women to be more playful and curious about different clothes or showing versatility in dress
Back in the day multiple outfits were worn by women to make it appear like they were ‘different people’ the theory was that it would keep a man guessing and interested. (Well that is what my history professor said)
Hope it helps
Yes you’re right. Society expects women to be feminine and pretty so men will be attracted to them enough to get them pregnant and have daughters growing up thinking they must look and act "girlie" to make it through life…
In most all of nature the male is the most attractive one, having brighter colors and so on. In humans it’s just the opposite females have all the variations to use to attract males!
