Do you get stretch marks after minimal weight loss?
Over the festive period, along with many other people, I put on a bit of weight.
I’ve decided to do something about it.
I’m 8 stone 11 at the moment and about a year ago I was 8 stone but still healthy and I plan to go back to this weight through the process of healthy eating and exercise.
My only concern is stretch marks as a consequence of my weight loss.
Can stretch marks really be caused by losing around a stone in weight?
Thanks for your answers!
Does having a lot of stretch marks increase my chances of having loose skin after weight loss?
I have a lot of stretch marks and I don’t know where they are from. I’m about 45 pounds over-weight (I know they are from that but I have A LOT of them for some reason) Anyway I plan on losing the extra weight and im afraid I’ll have a lot of loose/extra skin considering all the stretch marks I have. So, does having a lot of stretch marks increase my chances of having loose skin after weight loss?
Is it normal for a fifteen year old that hasn't had any major weight gain or loss to have stretch marks?
My daughter has stretch marks on her upper thighs and bottom. She has not had any major weight loss or gain and is not pregnant. Is this due to a deficiency of some vitamins or minerals, growth spurt, or something else? Is this something for me to be concerned about or is it a normal growing process?

Help! I am an African-American woman with HORRIBLE stretch marks! What can I do to help fade them?
Help! I am an African-American woman with HORRIBLE stretch marks. If I wear a bikini, I usually apply body make-up to help diminish the scars as I am VERY self-conscious of them. The only problem: when I go into the water, no more coverage! Also, my bedroom body image is a little bruised… I tried cocoa butter and, more recently, Ambi, a skin lightener. However, the Ambi simply suceeded in lightening the stretch marks, which, of coarse, now look even worse next to my dark skin! Does anyone know of a product or service that could actually help to improve the appearance of stretch marks on darker skin?
