Does milk really suck? Or is it nutritional?
We are the only mammals besides cats who drink milk after infancy. The odd thing is that after infancy, instead of continuing drinking our others milk, we drink cow milk.
On milksucks.com it tells you how keeping your bones strong are easier than you think, and milk isn’t required to do the job. In fact, there is an article on why milk and dairy products WON’T help you maintain healthy bones.
Got Breast Cancer? Milksucks.com says this:
Consuming dairy products is linked to an increased risk for breast cancer because dairy products are high in fat, animal protein, and hormones, each of which increases cancer risk. Since the 1980’s, study after study has linked dairy consumption to a high incidence of breast and other cancers. Women seeking to minimize their chances of breast cancer should avoid milk, other dairy products, and meat."
What about heart disease?
Milksucks.com says: Since the early 1970s, study after study after study has implicated cow’s milk and other dairy products as a cause of heart disease and clogged arteries. One researcher, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn from the Cleveland Clinic (the top-rated heart clinic in the U.S.), makes people "heart attack-proof" by putting them on a vegan diet (check out his groundbreaking paper in the American Journal of Cardiology, August 99).
Do you or your teens have acne?
Will drinking milk make you greasy, grimy, and pimply? Some doctors suspect that the fat, animal protein, sugar, and hormones in milk irritate the skin, causing break-outs.
Dr. Jerome K. Fisher conducted a clinical study of 1,088 teen-age patients over 10 years and reported to the American Dermatological Association that milk was a principal contributor to some patients’ acne. Dr. Fisher found that their acne tapered off as their milk consumption did.
Are your kids sick?
Cow’s milk is the number one source of allergies in children, and research links consumption of dairy products, including cow’s milk, to colic (stomach cramps), autism, chronic ear infections, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 1 or "juvenile-onset" diabetes), acne, obesity, flatulence, constipation, mucus, and a variety of other ailments.
So the question is:
Is milk as good as we think it is?
Very sudden illness! Normal?
I know I just asked this in the pregnancy section, I’m just trying to cover all bases.
I had been feeling pretty average this morning, but not abnormally sick, so I decided to do some housework.
As soon as I came in from hanging washing on the clothes line, I had a funny lump in my throat, felt like I was going to throw up, and my heart started RACING!
On top of that, I had been a bit ‘clogged up’ for about 2 days (finally, something other than diarrhea!) but when the urge to throw up kicked in, so did the need to go ‘number 2′ (which thankfully, wasn’t diarrhea)
and I had/have some stomach cramps and upsets, with a few period like pains, and felt a bit shaky.
My heart rate has since settled, but the nausea and shakiness has not, and I am just in a bit of a daze, I wanted to faint for a minute!
Did I just over-do it for my stage in pregnancy, or is it worth letting someone know about?
Keep in mind this is all in the space of about 20 minutes.
Sorry if it seems like I’m being weak and what not, this has just never happened before!
And I never actually threw up, I just felt/feel like I need to.

could i have become diabetic from being pregnant?
When i was in the last stage of my pregnancy high traces of glucose were found in my urine but it was never followed up and i wasnt aware it was a problem I also fainted in the late stages and was told it was because my sugar levels had fallen and i should carry a choc bar around with me.After having my baby 1 1/2 years ago my hands and feet wear often stiff espesh in the morning i was told it was water retention from being pregnant.A year on it still hadnt passed and was then told it was because i was over weight.
Well it has been a year and a half now and my hands and feet are worse then they have ever been,i often get cramps in my legs, feel light headed and get blurred vision.I have stomach cramps every morning and diareah(sorry for spelling)i can go up to 6 times within two hours of being awake,i am constantly thirsty and can drink a glass of drink and feel the need to drink another,my mouth feels constantly dry.A few of these things have worsened over the last few weeks but have been told by my doctor yesturday they are all signs of diabetes.I am going for a blood test on monday and am interested to hear what you all have to say and if you have diabetes and have had these symptoms.
Thanks for your answers in advanced.

Should I be worried.. Or no?
I’ve been havin’ stomach cramps, almost like I’m gonna start my period.. but I’ve had ‘em for a week or so. I’ve also had really sore breasts but never experienced that before a period ‘n have had a period for 6 yrs. My fiance ‘n I were intimate last night.. when I woke up to use the bathroom this mornin’, I saw I’m bleedin’. I haven’t had a period is almost 2 yrs due to the depo shot, got off it April of this yr ‘n have only spotted. Do u think it could be something else, or just my period? We’re tryin’ to conceive right now too, but I’ve never had bleedin’ durin’ the beginnin’ stages of pregnancy. So, who knows?
Does anyone know what could be the cause of bad bloating after eating?
It seems that each time after I eat, whether a small meal or a large one, I am always bloated. I think it is even worse after sugary foods like chocolate or cupcakes, which I rarely eat. I am really tired of it, I look like I am in the first stages of pregnancy after I eat. It lasts for a while and I usually have stomach cramps with it.
