How many people out there judge a woman by her size?

Why is it when women who are over weight get judged when going to a gym? We are their to get in shape yet people especially other women stare, talk about us to their friends and just make the situation uncomfortable. We also get stared at when out walking, eating, shopping etc. Why is this ok?

How can I get over this and enjoy myself?

This is a serious problem I have that has been effecting me for about two years now. My boyfriend always notices attractive women and I admit I used to get a little jealous. I’m over the jealousy now and can accept that OTHER women are beauitful and blessed with genes, and I can even accept that my boyfriend is turned on by them and will fantasize about them. However, every time I see an attractive woman anywhere (grocery store, tv, etc.) I feel nothing but negative thoughts about myself. It will bother me to the point where it could effect my whole day or throw my plans off course because I will start making plans to diet, lose weight, go shopping to spend money on products to make myself look better, or whatever isn’t good enough about me. My thougths will be obsessed with things that are wrong with me, and how unattractive I am. I only notice skinny perfect looking girls.. and then try to make a plan of action to be like them but it honestly is ruining my life. any help?

Is it ok for a woman to wear a wife beater and bra?

No, this question is not going to keep me up at night, so chill on the flames. Just happened to be shopping today and saw a woman in her 40′s wearing jeans a wife beater and a white bra underneath.

Would you wear this out in public? Just seemed odd to me.
I see your point…it could look pretty hot on a lot of girls. But yeah after a certain age not so much.

I’m good. no more responses needed. Thanks.
Ava, you’re not the only one. Sorry but I’m saving myself for Jessica Alba ;)

Camping with my Period! Women aren't meant for camping!!!?

So In four days I will go camping in Austria…cool huh? Except for my period and other countless woman problems I will have on the trip! So this isn’t a "little" camping trip. It is a hardcore 2 week real camping experience! I talking about tents and no bathrooms!! Plus! It’s in Austria…and I don’t know German! But thats just the small stuff… heres the real problem…

First off I will have my period at the beginning of the second week.I’ve already been staying in Germany for a month now… and mother nature planned for my trip so perfectly so that I would have my Period three times while I was staying away from home…long story short…I’m short on pads. I know, I know…USE TAMPONS! But that doesn’t work for me. Again I am so "lucky" that I have my period for a week…thats right…seven days! So the amount of changing required for tampons plus the rarity that I will have time to change my tampon (and where to put it) makes it so inconvenient for camping. AND if that doesn’t make tampons inconvenient.. My period is heavy, and I bleed very heavily for five days…and thanks to the time change I bleed the most at night…yah…goodbye sleeping bag… At home when ever I use tampons I always leak…and the only ones that protect my undies feel like socks! So I guess I have no choice but to double up on pads or something but the problem is that I’ve already used most of them and I don’t have may left for this time around…and the camping is in four days…and I go to german school with my friend Marianne…and to be honest I’m kinda embarrassed to go shopping for pads (I know, it’s something all women have to do).

Ok…now about the other problems which are minor in comparison all link to bathrooms and showering. As for bathing…we have a lake. The main part is that I’m worried about what products I can use in a lake and how to go about cleaning my hair. My hair is curly and I like it that way because my hair naturally makes soft locks and looks really nice and I usually get complements. Taking care of it is easy…all I need is water, conditioner, and a comb…but even the easiest of hair can get tangled when you don’t have what you need to take care of it and mine is no exception. Ever since I got my hair cut shorter it’s been really hard to get it into a braid when it’s dry and I won’t have all the time in the world or even a proper shower to tame it. So the other problem is that I’m not fond of using the "outdoors" as my bathroom. I really don’t know how to "just go" and I am very clean when it comes to things like this. If I could bring one thing at a deserted island, toilet paper would be the 3rd on my list. So really all my troubles focus on hygiene because I’m pretty athletic and I’ve gone camping for 2 weeks before…just not this intense.

and if you were wondering…I’m going with the scouts (girl/boy scouts) that my friends Marianne goes to. Marianne is more worried about the hiking and physical strength stuff. I travel a lot for my age and to tell you the truth this is the longest time I’ve been away and completely alone.

What are some articles of clothing every woman should have in her wardrobe?

My mom and grandmother are taking me shopping for a new wardrobe for college next year, and my first job this summer. I’m going for a more feminine sophisticated look, as I’m generally very tomboyish. What are some clothes you suggest? What are some articles of clothing every woman should have in her wardrobe?

Is there a such thing as a Body Shape Calculator?

I’m looking for a Body Shape Calculator to find out what exact shape I am, not BMI…I already know that. And I already know what my waist to hip ratio is. Something like a calculator that has you enter in your measurements for bust, waist and hips…I haven’t found anything yet on Google. I’m not posting my measurements or other info on here…if you want that, PM me.
No, not for clothes. Just for my own information.

See…this is where I get confused. When I look in the mirror I see a spoon shape. But if I factor in my breasts, then it becomes an hourglass. And I’ve seen various websites say you factor in the breasts when doing your bust measurement, then other websites say you don’t. And I’ve got 5 inches of a difference…So it doesn’t make sense to me on which measurement to do.
30/35-24-37. Some websites say you factor in the whole bust measurement…But do you?

Once again…I rarely go shopping and if I do it’s for fabric because I make most of my own clothes. And besides…sales associates are trained to sell clothes, not pick out the best ones for your shape. Any instruction they do get on that is very limited time. I used to work in retail…I know how it all works. Afterall…I’ve been making clothes tailored to my shape for the past 12 or so years and they fit better than anything in the store. So why would I want their advice? Is it so wrong to want to know what shape I am?
