What are the benefits of the Fried Chicken and Kool Aid diet?

Whenever I see a colored person at the mall, a McDonald’s or on the basketball court, they’re always so skinny and loud, leading me to believe this diet has some benefits to weight control and respiratory health. However, I’m curious if this diet can be successful without watermelon supplementation. I think that’s like their multivitamin. If I eat like this, will I suddenly have an uncontrollable urge to play basketball and buy chrome rims for my car?

Can you please help diagnose my problem???

After the birth of my first child I began having strange, seemingly unrelated symptoms. First, I became extremely fatigued which I didn’t think much of because I was exhausted throughout my pregnancy. The fatigue continued and I assumed it was because I was still breastfeeding. Eventually, I asked my docter and they began doing bloodwork to figure out what was going on.

It turns out my alkaline phosphate was high. After checking a few more times, months apart, it remained higher than the usual. They finally detected (a year later) that the increased alk phos was coming from the bone. However I could not get a nuclear bone scan because of the radiation and on account that I was still breastfeeding.

I switched doctor’s and a new one suggested that I start taking more vitamin D and calcium supplements. Which I did religiously for several months before getting checked again. My fatigue went away and when I got the blood results from this consequent test, it revealed my alk phos had finally went down to normal levels. Yet my vitamin d was extremely low. (Did I mention that I’d been taking 250% of the daily amount every day.)

I am only 27 years old and this came as quite a shock to me as my mother just got diagnosed with the beginning stages of osteoperosis. Anyways, I got put on a regime of 50,000 iu’s of vitamin d a week. Plus I still take my daily dose of d and calcium along with my daily multivitamin.

My next symptom is plain old irritability. I have no patience and a very short temper all of a sudden. I don’t know what is wrong with me. I am generally very easy-going and this is quite a change in my personality. I do not like it.

In addition, I went on a diet and lost weight (45 lbs) in the middle of all this, but lost it too easily I think. So, I guess you could add weight loss to the list.

Finally, today i went to the doctor’s for a sinus infection and my blood pressure was low 100/50 (or close to it). Strange because, my blood pressure has always been normal (120/80).

Doctor’s don’t seem to think anything of any of the symptoms as single events, or in relation to each other. I think I need to change physicians again in any rate. Although the symptoms seem unrelated, they may be trying to tell me something. Something isn’t right with my body and I know it.

Oh, and I do not have hep c or any std’s, so that’s out of the question. And I’m not a hypochondriac. If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong with me please let me know!!! Thanks!!!

Additional comments…
I’m kind of freaked out. I’ve been dizzy and disoriented the last few days too. I can’t concentrate either. I think something is seriously wrong with me. I did some research and i’m looking into problems with my thyroid, Pagent’s disease, and Addison’s disease . If anyone has any other (serious) suggestions please let me know!!!

What vitamins should I take while on the veggie fruit and tuna diet?

I plan on eating lots of fruits, veggies, tuna, boneless skinless chicken breast, and boiled eggs. Possibly whole wheat bread too. I can’t bring myself to drink plain water regularly, so I will be drinking propel water or juice most of the time (unless you have a healthier suggestion). So, my question is what vitamins would I be missing out on with this diet? Any suggestions on a multivitamin or anything of the sort? Also, any suggestions on the best types of fruit and veggies to eat would be awesome. Thank you!

How do I find a multivitamin that doesn't cancel itself out?

I have been searching for a multivitamin that doesn’t cancel itself out in nutritional value. For example, from what I have read it is not good to take calcium with other vitamins and minerals, it should be taken separately and at a different time. Also, vitamin B1 cancels B2 when it is taken at the same time. This list goes on, too much iron can lead to a deficiency in this or that, too much calcium can lead to a deficiency in magnesium. There is so much information to be gathered before creating the ultimate multivitamin and no one seems to be doing it before they put the product on the shelf and we buy it. So what is the best multi-vitamin (without extensive testing) for me (a woman)?

Taking silicon and fish oil for skin/nails/hair?

I have been breaking out and noticed my skin hasn’t seemed as evenly toned lately. I already eat a very healthy diet, drink lots of water and exercise frequently. So it was recommended to me to check my multivitamin for silicon (which it didn’t contain), and since it didn’t contain silicon to start taking it as a liquid supplement along with cod liver oil for healthier skin. I was just wondering if anyone else who is taking this supplement could tell me how long it will take to notice results? I also found it could help with thinning hair and nails, not to mention the anti-aging properties, which my mom has been complaining about. So should I recommend taking silicon and cod liver oil to her too for her nails and hair (and wrinkles lol)? And also any other health benefits of taking this combination would be appriciated too :-)
Both the silicon and cod liver oil are liquid supplements. I already take a multivitamin, which is why I am not taking a hair/skin/nails supplement in pill form, it contains vitamins too. I don’t want to take extremely high concentrations of vitamins.
Actually, and I feel quite silly, it’s silica I’m taking not silicon. I guess I’m just used to hearing silicon not silica.

How important are multivitamins in a bad diet?

I’m a college student and I don’t consider my diet healthy at all since I always buy the cheapest food at walmart or whenever I go out I eat unhealthy most of the time. Should I take a multivitamin or what is a cheap way to eat healthy?
What multivitamin do you recommend? I’m an average male. I’m fit but I don’t exercise excessively either.
