Is it bad to take topamax for weight loss?

Is it good for depression too? I hear lot of people saying their doctors prescribed it for weight loss..is this true? I know its a migraine medicine and also for preventing seizures. Both of which i have had and am currently not taking anything for.
Why would a doctor prescribe it then?

So does attitude really have a lot to do with weight loss?

I’ve been trying to loose weight for what seems like forever now and it’s not going anywhere. I actually gained a lot of weight and I’ve been going back and fourth through what may be depression but there’s no diagnosis for how I’ve been feeling. I’m really trying to be more positive. I just wondered if your attitude in general impacts your weight loss? Anyone know?

What's the best motivator–depression or excitement–for successful weight loss?

If you’ve ever had a successful weight loss attempt, how was your mood at the beginning of it? Did you start a diet/exercise routine out of depression and disgust, or were you pumped up by the thought of your new lifestyle?

Right now I’m down in the dumps about the whole weight loss thing and tomorrow am starting yet another exercise routine out of necessity (health). I’ve about had it with dieting and trying to eat healthily. I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

Have you ever felt like that and ended up succeeding after all?

Male menopause question?

I’ve had problems with depression and hot flashes. I found that out my testosterone hormone went below normal! Now on testosterone hormone replacement, but still get hot flashes! I found a product for hot flash and menopause relief, with the name ‘Estroven’! It does say for women, but it is helping my hot flashes. What kind of affects would there be on a man?

Women Health Problems PLEASE HELP!!?

I have been sick for 4 days, and yesterday I got what I thought was my period. I had HORRIBLE cramps and thick mucousy type blood (all stretchy with tissue) When I urinate or just go sit down on the toilet, there is a long THICK strand of blood. It was flowing more, but doesnt flow as much now. Yesterday, I bled so much I had to wear Overnight pads. I have been trying not to use tampons, because I am trying to look for a difference in texture of the blood to see if its not just old blood passing. But the PAIN is so harsh. Not normal for me. This period was also a week late, but my last one was also late and started with spotting pink and then got really heavy, but I went through a death of a really close family member and had stressed out about that so I just figured that is what made it different. So it has been 2 days now since I started bleeding. The cramps are so harsh I feel sick, and the blood just looks disgusting it makes me cry. There could be a possibility of pregnancy, but the last time was about a month ago and it was protected. I have also read about Endometriosis too, which I also have signs of. Pains during/after intercourse, pelvic pain, depression… ect. I am going to Health Department tomorrow because I dont have insurance, but I really want to get this checked out. If you have had any of these symptoms with anything, let me know.
i just thought it was the change of weather that made me feel funny the other day. but i was running a low fever and then would be cold and clammy. and then i started cramping that night, and the next morning i woke up with cramps (sharp harsh pains) and bleeding. Yesterday the blood was flowing more evenly and "gushed" out even. (sorry so graphic) I can press on my abdomen where my uterus is and its so painful. The blood is still thick and mucousy, but not flowing as much. If I can get myself to sleep, the pain doesnt bother me as much. I just dont sleep regularly anyway. (even before now) I have to go to the doctor alone because I am a loner and don’t have friends to go with me. If it might be a miscarriage, I would want the possible stupidhead to go with me, but unlike me, he has a job. Im just so upset about the whole thing, and could be blowing it way out of proportion. Hypochondriac… i guess.
Yesterday, there were clumps of tissue and clots, I filled up overnight pads in 2 hours. Today, there are pieces of tissue in the mucousy blood. (sorry so gross)

How does a man improve his self confidence, from body shape and size to emotional and state of mind?

I am trying to improve my self confidence as this is one thing that I have acknowledged as causing depression. I am particularly interested in hearing from gay men. I am 38, and I used to be confident as a young man, but over the years, things have happened, and I now have lost about 90% of my confidence. I need to get it back.

Yes I am seeing a therapist, and on anti-depressants.
Please no smart alec answers.

If there are others out there who have had low self esteem, self confidence, please tell me what you did to improve it, what worked for you, and also what didn’t work for you. We are all individuals, and different methods work for different people.

Cheers
