What are the benefits of water in a weight-loss diet?
As I mentioned before, my dad has high cholesterol and is trying to lose some weight. I heard that drinking water can help weight-loss in a number of ways, but I was wondering how it helps?
Like, does it cure bloating and flush out the system or something.
Also, my dad hates the taste of water, but he loves orange squash. Is squash just as good as water? Its sugar free and low in calories.
Question about low good cholesterol and weight loss?
Lemme ask ya all something. My work gives us a discount on our health insurance if we have a health assessment. They take our blood and then check our sugar and cholesterol. My bad cholesterol was great but my good cholesterol was low. Could that affect my weight loss? I’ve been thinking about printing it out and making an appt to see my family dr so I can show him the report. What’s your opinion?

What can I feed my hubby who is on a low fiber diet?
My hubby just had colon surgery and Doc says he has to eat a low fiber diet for 2 weeks. I know that raw fruits and vegies are a no-no. Only canned and cooked. What kind of meats, cereals, breads, etc can he eat? Can he have eggbeaters? He has high cholesterol, and doesn’t like alot of sugar. He needs variety. I’m also concerned that he gets proper nutrition until he can go back to his regular high fiber diet. Any suggestions, ideas, or sites where I can get recipes would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do built-up plaque and cholesterol in your arteries ever go away if you start a diet and exercise plan?
I know eating poorly and not exercising can lead to a build up of cholesterol and plaque in your heart’s arteries. I am just curious if one starts a diet and exercise program after a bunch of cholesterol has built up, will the build-up go away or is it there forever (other than surgery)?
Thanks for your insight, I appreciate it.
