I have been on a strict weight loss program. I eat generally healthy and go to the gym 5 to 6 times a week and about three times with a personal trainer.
However, soon I am planning on getting into birth control pills. I have been told that your hormones go crazy with the pills… Would this affect my weight loss? I know it reacts differently with each woman… but what are the possibilities?

We have recently lost our health insurance, due to my losing my job and hers not offering it, and my wife needs her birth control pills. Getting individual coverage is extremely expensive, but I don’t see any other way for her to get a prescription. Are there any other options? I heard about a a Medicare plan that let women be able to apply for birth control…can anybody confirm that?

he just told me to continue birth control pills until I want to get pregnant. He also said that I should try to have kids before age 25 or else it will be close to impossible. He didnt prescribe me any anti-androgen meds or and sugar meds (i’m not diabetic). Is this okay or should I see another endocrinologist? He literally just spoke to me and gave me a refferal to get a blood test.
I’ve already been to a gyno and last week she discovered the cysts on my ovaries. . .my thing is why didnt he put me on diabetic meds and give me antiandrogen drugs? and i dont wanna have to b on birth control for the rest of my life

I’m thinking of trying St. John’s Wort for my depression; I don’t feel comfortable taking prescription meds. Anti-depressants increase your risk of suicide until the age of about 24 and I’m only 18. I’m really just looking for a natural alternative. I know if I go to my doctor with this question she’ll immediately say "Take Prozac because Pfizer gives me ,000 a year to prescribe it to everyone!" Kaiser Permanente and natural remedies do not mix well.

In my research I found that St. John’s Wort can interfere with birth control pills, but I haven’t found any info about it and depo? Is depo a progesterone only form of birth control like the pill? Do my chances of getting pregnant increase if I take this?

Also, are there any other natural remedies for depression? I mean supplements and herbs, I’ve tried exercise and meditation to no avail.

I started having to get up in the middle of the night to go pee like 2 nights ago and i hardly ever do that. during the day i dont go as much but then around the evening when im just sitting around i go a lot and sometimes ill feel like i have to go but then i only pee a little bit. it doesnt burn or hurt but i also dont think im pregnant. ive been on birth control pills for 7 months and have never missed a day or been late taking them. i still have another week before my period so pregnancy test show up negative. I just dont know what this could be. it seems like its lessened since ive been taking cranberry pills so could it have been that i just caught a bladder infection in the early stages before it started hurting. if anyone could help please give me something thanks.
oh yea i took one of those azo uti test and it came back negative as well so could it still be one but just to early on.
So this is like the 3rd day now and ive notice it really only starts happening after like 3pm its only in the evening i dont understand it.

Medically, what is the cause for a women to start bleeding immediately following the discontinuation of birth control pills?
