i know i have arthritis in my hands, wrists, knees and neck. i haven’t seen a doctor about it yet but the pain is getting to be too much to handle. i have been taking glucosamine and an anti-inflammatory for about two months but nothing seems to help. i am only 19 years old and when i wake up in the morning i’m walking hunched over like an old man. when it rains i almost cant walk because my right knee hurts so bad.

my questions are:
is it normal for someone my age to have arthritis already?
what is best for arthritis a heating pad or ice?
how do doctors determine what type of arthritis you have?
do doctors prescribe anything other than an anti-inflammatory for arthritis?

I’ve just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. My family doctor diagnosed it and gave me prescription for mobic an anti-inflammatory. He referred me to a rheumatologist and I have a appointment in June. Has anyone else been diagnosed at a young age? Any advice from anyone that has it?

What advice do you have for a 60 year old woman with bad arthritis. She is about 50 pounds overweight. I believe dieting should be sufficient in lowering the pressure of her joints, but she believes her metabolism is too slow to have any bearing. Help?

I know that it’s not necessarily good to use certain things that will mess with your good bacterias and ph. I suffer from chronic yeast infections due to taking meds for arthritis that lower my immune system so I always stay clear from this kind of product because I’ve heard it can cause yeast infections. Recently I bought some summers eve feminine wash, saying it was fragrance free, and gynecologist tested. One of the ingredients listed- fragrance-, so how can they claim no fragrance? i’m wondering if it’s safe to use without being at a higher risk for yeast infection.

my dad is 63 and mah mom is 62. my mom is taking medicine for arthritis and my dad taking med for diabetes and high blood pressure. can anyone plz tell me a good health drink suitable for both of them? is horlicks , complan etc are ok? plz tell me the best one.
