How do you know if your an apple/pear/hourglass body shape?

From what i know an apple gains weight mostly in their mid-section & have a waist to hip ratio of around 0.80.
Pear body shapes gain weight in their hips & thighs
Hourglasses may gain weight in the bust & hip area.
What if you mostly gain weight in your lower abdomen, hips & bottom?
What is the most probably body shape you’d fall into?

When it comes to weight distribution for women, which body shape is healthier?

I’ve heard that "pear" and "hourglass" shapes (weight distributed below the torso–like skinny waist, big hips) are healthier than apple shapes (weight distributed above the torso around the waist area). is this true? Some women can have really good bodies, but they have big hips and vice versa.

Can you target weight loss to upper body only?

I have an apple shaped body type and I am overweight on top and have very skinny legs and thighs. I have already lost weight but still have about 20 lbs to go.
I have a big stomach with no waistline, big back and big chest, and I have a fat face with a double chin :(
Is there anyway to target my weight loss to those areas only?
Especially important to me is loosing the fat cheeks and double chin, is there possibly an exercise I can do to loose that?

For weight loss which is better eat only when hungry or on a time table?

I want to lose weight, but by doing it right through diet and exercise. However, I am not sure which is better as there seems to be literature stating one of the other as to which way you should eat meals.

So the basic question is, which is better for weight loss: Eat only when hungry (still in moderation) or each several small meals every 2-3 hours?

The problem is I have relatively slow metabolism. I had blood work done it isn’t anything medical, just really slow metabolism. I can go several days without being hungry, and faint as a result, without ever feeling the least bit hungry. On the other hand, trying to eat every 2 to 3 hours (even just an apple or something else equally small) makes me sick to my stomach. Anyone with ideas?

Is it possible for men to have body shapes/types like women?

You know women body shapes like pear apple hourglass etc well is it the same for men cause women can’t change there shape is it the same for men cause i’m 13 and my looks weird i have a perfectly toned abs i have perfct proportions for a women i think it cuz i don’t workout so i don’t have six pack but if i workout ?

How long does it take to notice weight loss in anorexia?

If someone, about 5’8, 130 pounds with an eating disorder ate only like an apple and lots of water a day, what would the rate for weight loss be? How many pounds could be lost in a month? a week?
