I have to meet my ridiculous insurance deductible or else my mom has to pay a ridiculous sum of money for her lumpectomy. So I wanted to see a doctor for weight loss. I only really need to lose 20 pounds or so. But I’ve put off trying losing this weight for about 3 years now. I don’t want surgery, bypass, or a lap band or anything ridiculous, just medical advice.

Are there doctors that do this? Like weight loss doctors I could bill my insurance company for?

At the age of 26 I literally suffer from Major Depression and was diagnosed 3 years ago. I have always been unhappy and have always had crying spells and fits since I turned around 12 or 13 but was never diagnosed until my senior year in college. I struggled to finish and get my BA then absolutely fell apart and didn’t work my first year out of college bc I couldnt leave the house and was extremely depressed and suicidal. I still have suicidal thoughts like now and need to get back to the dr soon to try another medication (they seem to stop working).

Now that I’ve graduated from college, I have anxiety about getting a job, i still live at home and my first job i worked at for 8 months but got fired bc I was forgetful (perm side effect from a former anti i took). Now that I’m looking for work I don’t have any interest in any area even my chosen field – no matter how wonderful the job i start to feel overwhelmed at it. Has anybody else had this problem and how do u make it go away?

Hi, I have a bit of a complex case but would appreciate all help I can get. We’ll start from the beginning. Last week, I had severe stomach pain, went to the ER, they did nothing, saw a GI and he put me on anti-ulcer meds and assumed I had ulcers (since I’ve had them before). Before this (and for about 3 years now) I’ve had severe pain in my lower left quadrant along with nausea, diarrhea and as said before, very severe pain. I had a colonoscopy done (but the doctor lost the pictures – I have switched) and they found nothing. Now, I’ve noticed today that there is a strong heartbeat in my upper abdomen. I could feel it standing and laying down. Here are some stats – I’m a 19 yr old female, 5’11", 141 lbs., 90-57 blood pressure (as of last friday) and otherwise healthy girl besides the stomach issues. If anyone can tell me why I could be having these heart beats in my stomach – it’s just a totally new thing and I’m so tired of feeling like my body is aging way before it’s supposed to. I see my GI on Thursday so I’ll definitely bring it up with him, but I haven’t been stressed, am definitely NOT pregnant (took 2 tests the other day) and a-ok. Let me know what you all think. These bumps seemed to have started in my oldest daughter when we first moved to a new apartment about 2 months ago. They’re more prominent on the knees, feet, hands and elbows but have spread pretty much eveywhere except her face. Just recently I’ve noticed some bumps forming on my younger daughters hands, feet and knees. My wife and I took the 3 year old to a dermatoligist who said that it looked like "bug bites". He prescribed a cream (triamcinolone acetonide) and an anti- itch medicine(hydroxyz hcl) which didn’t seem to help at all. We took her again and were told that it was "infected excema", she was given another cream(locoid lipocream) and an antibiotic(cephalexin). This seems to have stopped the bumps from getting worse, but I don’t know if I would say its the cure. We have a dog we have had him for 3 years, no fleas. The new apartmet is a basement apartment. I’m getting a little nervous now that my younger one is getting the same bumps. I would appreciate any help solving this

I’m 16. I’ve been smoking (like an idiot) since I was 13.
I frequently get sore throats and for the past 4 months I’ve been bringing up blood in my mucus. I had it treated as a chest infection at first but it has cotinued after takin the anti biotics and for a while clearing up

wat are the chances I have throat cancer at this age after smoking less than 10 cigarettes a day for 3 years?

My friend is 25 years of age and is suffering from severe depression. She has been in thereapy for 3 years with three different therapist and has also been on anti-depressants for 2 years and nothing seems to be helping. She was taking Zoloft, Paxal, and Laxapro but none of the medications worked no matter how high the doctors increased the dosage. She is extremely depressed about a number of things. She has low self-esteem because people always criticise her apperance and says that she’s ugly which she is not in my opinion. She just looks like an average normal person. She hates the way her body looks and she’s very depressed over the fact that she is lonely. She really wants a husband badly. She has never been in a relationship before at her age or have been out on a date before she cries and worries herself to death because she thinks that she will be alone forever. I am really worried I don’t want my friend to committ suicide. I don’t know what to do
