How often do Indian woman wash their hair?

American woman have really scampy, thin and damaged hair, from what I believe is overexposures to chemicals (daily shampooing, products, color)

Indian and European woman on the other hand have really really beautiful thick healthy looking hair. I know they dont wash every day and that attributes to its health, but does anyone (hopefully of Indian herritage) have any hair tips for me? besides the obvious like not heat styling. Im trying to regain its health (it has gotten thinner)

    I’m Indian, and for all i noticed, Indians wash their hair like 2 times a week. That’s it. That’s what i do. Also, Indians put coconut oil in their hair every week. it helps the hair a lot. Hope i helped :)

    really its kind of genetic;
    but yeah coconut oil is a real help!
    but i’d also wash your hair just ONCE a week;
    too much washing is actually worse if you’re trying to regain it’s health.
    i’d first use Nature Fusion Pantene Pro-V shampoo/conditioner, its not indian, but its guaranteed to work on your hair, and considering (assuming) ur not indian, id first stick to that.
    then you should try the coconut oil; just warm up a bottle, massage it thru ur hair, comb it, let it sit for maybe 45 minutes, then wash it but DONT use conditioner! just shampoo it! it’ll feel greasy for maybe 2 days but it goes away (:
    basically get all the vitamins you need, like vitamin E is a vitamin you definitely want to stock up on.

    I think in general, us Indians have thick hair. It might not be something we do specifically, but more just genetics. As for me, my hair is very thick. I wash it every other day with shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes I put Coconut Oil, or Baby Oil before washing. I always let my hair air dry, because it add a lot more volume then blow drying. Also, make sure to check and trim split ends every so often.

    I don’t know if this helps but I heard from a friend that pre-natal vitamins and Vitamin E aid in hair growth and restoration
