How helpful will a fruit diet be on reducing a little amount of fat?

I was fit but lately I’ve gained 1 inch of fat on my tummy and thighs. So I’m planning to go on a fruit diet for 1 week along with some stable food for breakfast and dinner. Will it be helpful to reduce? And I dont want my face to reduce. I just want my tummy to reduce!

don’t do it! if you want to lose the inch, drink more water and go running like 4 days a week. If that doesnt work after two weeks, do a detox of your choice.

Fruit actually is converted to a lot of sugar. Its best to stay on a more longterm diet by just cutting down your intake of breads, and having more protiene and veggies.

Sorry to say, but you can’t spot reduce fat. By the time you’ve lost the fat on your stomach and thighs, you will be sure to have lost some in the face and neck as well. You sound like a woman, sorry if I’m wrong on that one, but if so the belly area is going to be the last part to go. It sucks, but that’s nature’s way, has to do with pregnancy. Not saying you’re pregnant, but it’s just how it is, can read up on that if you like. But as far as the fruit diet goes, just stick to a normal, healthy eating plan. Fad diets never work in the long run, and that’s what a fruit diet is. People get sucked into thinking "If I can just lose this one inch", and will try anything. Anything but exercise, I mean. Hit up your cardio, eat a balanced diet, and drink lots of water, half of your body weight per day, in ounces of water. For example, I weigh 185lbs, so I drink at least 90 oz of water per day. Sounds like alot, but you prob weigh much less than I do.

Edit: Saw someone mention the Acai Berry products, don’t waste your money or your time. I’m very familiar with them, and to use the berry in either the pill form or the juice, they freeze dry it into a powder. Freeze drying kills the vast majority of the nutrients in fruits and effectively renders these products useless. Thought I’d throw that in there.

A diet? Really? Are you serious?

If you only go on a temporary diet, you will gain that inch of fat back eventually (within 5 years or less).

What you need, friend, is a lifestyle change. If you eat a lot of bread and meat, you’ve got to cut it out if you want to lose weight. Both are acidic – which is hazardous to your health if you don’t balance it out with vegetables and fruits.

In short, your body needs to have a pH around 7.3, about the same pH as water. When it gets too acidic, you gain weight because the body can’t tolerate all that acid, and it needs to put it somewhere – in fat cells.

If you change your diet and eat more vegetables – especially of the green, leafy variety – you will lose weight because veggies are basic (alkaline – opposite of acidic).

Also, for what you get, veggies and fruits contain very few calories. You’d have to eat 5 and-a-half apples to eat as many calories as a 1/6th slice of an 8" apple pie.

And with all the vitamins and nutrients to be gained from plant foods, your body has nowhere to go but up if you change your stomach and eat more healthily.

Eat nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and grains (WHOLE grains, not white bread or beer or anything like that), and you will lose fat and feel much better.

Im on a fruit diet too and have been for about a week. i am noticing some differences such as my pants seem to be a little more losser than normal and i feel very energetic and healthy. I have had normal low calorie dinners though because i didnt have enough fruit lol but i dont think it had made much of a difference. Its very hard to resist the cravings though lol, im dieing for a peice of chocolate!!! But ive done very well so far. I am going to weigh myself today to see if ive lost anything. I will edit this to let you know later :) Good luck!
