How did other woman do on Provera?

Author: I was put on Provera to straighten out my monthly visitor.
I seem to be very up and down mood wise.
How has it affected other woman and also is it like the birth control Provera were it prevents pregnancy? I was curious how other woman have done on it. It seems to work but I seem to be bloated and my breasts get sore a lot…..

I was on the Depo shot for 7 years and had no problems at all with it. However when they tell you it will take a year for you to become pregnant after coming off of it they’re not always right. It only took me 6 months. If the discomfort persists I would definitely talk to the doctor and see if there is another alternative. What works for one person doesn’t always work for another and you need to be happy with the solution.
Depo Provera is not ideal for long term use, I went off it after a year or so. It helped my cramps, but it is not good for your bones and may make you more prone to osteoporosis later in life. Now I’m on Yasmin and I love it.
